This is a bus-mastering PCI card which supports both 50-pin and 68-pin cables and up to 15 SCSI devices, internal or external. There are internal 50-pin and 68-pin cable connectors plus an external HD-68 (Wide SCSI) connector. It has an upgradeable BIOS for bootable devices. SCSI transfer rates up to 40Mb/sec are supported on the 68-pin connectors, with transfer rates of up to 20Mb/sec supported on the 50-pin connector. This PCI card is as close to the Plug and Play ideal as any we have seen, since it enjoys such widespread operating system support. Even the Windows 98 startup disk contains a DOS driver for it.
